Would you like you if you met you? Simple question. If you met yourself today, would you like you? It’s a deep and profound question. It gets at the heart of what many of us are seeking. Self-satisfaction and content. This self-satisfaction gives us a sense of gratitude for what we have and fuels us with faith in our ability to go get what we want in life. However, when we feel like what we say and do doesn’t match what our hearts believe then there is a discrepancy that breeds self-contempt and dislike.    

Our self-image and attitude are our most valuable assets and when we don’t have integrity and congruence in what we say, do, and believe then no accomplishment in the world will bring us joy. Furthermore it shows in our interaction with others. If you are a direct to seller prospector this comes across in your interaction with your leads. The key is having our hearts and minds be congruent.  Do not worry, there is a simple tip that most successful and more importantly, happy people have and we can all develop to build self-integrity which breeds success in all of our endeavors. This simple step is to make promises to yourself and keep them.  Yes, it sounds too simple, but I’ve found it to be quite challenging at times.  It can be difficult to stick to a diet, work out routine, new training schedule, or to consistently make your sales calls.  However, when we get clear on your goals and clear on our why then, as Jim Rohn says, “the how becomes easier.”  And each time we do what we say we are going to do we gain self-confidence. This self-confidence shows in our interaction with our sellers and buyers. 

Doing the small things that you promise to yourself breeds success.  This doesn’t mean beat yourself up when you don’t do something you say you are committed to doing. Sulking and self-pity have no place in success.
